The show is for people young and old. It smartly fuses awesome contemporary Irish Dance with amazing magic and Grand Illusions and has come back to Australian stages for a one-night-only show.
With fantastic new choreography, incredible magic, adrenaline-inducing music and sensory experience, unlike anything you've ever seen. Audiences will hold their breaths and will want more.
Presenting an excellent cast of champion and internationally-acclaimed dancers, including dancers from both Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, Celtic Illusion features some of the fastest taps in the world. As the dancers’ powerful rhythm take over the stage in perfect unison, be amazed at Celtic Illusion.
The show is headlined by Australia’s very own Anthony Street, one of the first to perform leading roles in Michael Flatley’s widely-celebrated Lord of the Dance, including the very part that Michael Flatley initially danced himself.
Since it began in 2011, the show has been playing to sold-out crowds across Australia and New Zealand. Audiences have been floored by the blend of exciting dance and magical illusion.
Now it is your chance to see the magic that is Celtic Illusion.

2019 Bleach* The Gold Coast Festival event.
Ghenoa Gela — little sister, daughter, granddaughter, fighter, charmer, TV star, gold medallist, air guitarist, comic, teacher, Torres Strait mainlander and walking political statement — has created a show.
Audiences are invited into the complex social, colonial, political, and cultural expectations that Ghenoa experiences every day.
My Urrwai, led by director Rachael Maza and dramaturg Kate Champion and supported by an excellent team, is a telling reflection that celebrates the cultural and familial inheritance. It is a hard look at racial dynamics in Australia.
Urrwai is a blend of words which means “my spirit, my style, my essence” in the Kala Lagaw Ya language. Laughter and insight come together in this unique and personal story expressed through movement and words. Honoured by the renowned Keir Choreographic Award, Ghenoa’s vibrant true to life journey is funny, emotionally resonant and, ultimately, profound.

National Theatre Live: The Tragedy of King Richard The Second
Simon Russell Beale steps into the role of William Shakespeare’s titular character, Richard II. The play is shot directly from the stage of the Almeida Theatre to be shown in cinemas here.
This daring new production about power dynamics will be helmed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, whose notable works such as Little Revolution at the Almeida and Absolute Hell at the National Theatre make him the perfect choice.
Richard II is frivolous and narcissistic. His ineffective leadership throws his kingdom into confusion and his court into a row. Seeing no other way but to capture the throne, the resolute Bolingbroke disputes the dominion and the king’s religious right to rule.
Simon Russell Beale comes back to National Theatre Live screens following Timon of Athens and King Lear.
