What is there to do?
The Gold Coast has long been hailed as the ultimate family holiday destination as it is home to an excellent selection of world class theme parks and family oriented attractions. Many of the best, including Sea World, Movie World, Dreamworld, Wet N Wild, R M Williams Australian Outback Spectacular and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary are within quick and easy reach of De Ville Apartments Main Beach. Please see reception or book your tickets here.
Just 50 metres from De Ville Apartments, the fine white sands of Main Beach are an idyllic place to relax in the sun or stroll and unwind throughout your break. Alternatively, try parasailing, windsurfing, fishing or diving in the warm, clear waters of the Pacific. Enjoy a refreshing swim or retreat to one of the many cool beachside reserves for a family picnic.
The Spit divides the stunning Pacific Ocean shores on the eastern side and the calm waters of the Broadwater on its eastern side. The Spit extends between these magnificent waterways and offers many aquatic opportunities, walking tracks and picnic grounds. Jetski hire, canoes, jetboat rides, helicopter rides, fishing charters and paragliding adventures are all available to secure from Marina Mirage. The Spit is also home to Sea World.
Golf enthusiasts can practice their winning swing at one of the first-class golf clubs nearby. The Southport Golf Club and Surfers Paradise Golf Club are just two of the superb courses within easy reach.
Located just a short drive from our 3 bedroom apartments Gold Coast, The Star Casino offers more than 70 table games and over 1,300 gambling machines. Put on your best game face and try your luck at Texas Hold’em Poker, Sic Bo or Mini Baccarat.
Watching whales as they migrate along the east coast of Australia is a spectacle like no other. While whale watching season on the Gold Coast runs from May to November every year, the best time to catch the migration is between June and October.
These beautiful creatures captivate us as they swim, lifting and slapping their tails and fins and blowing jets of water through their blowholes. Queensland’s Gold Coast is prime for witnessing whales as they journey up or down the coast to breed and give birth to their calves. While seaside vantage points work a treat to catch them, there’s something unsurpassable about sailing alongside humpback and southern right whales while on a cruise. Take advantage of our ideal location to view the wahles directly from the apartment balconies, for the adventures please see us at reception for whale tour information.
The most common breeds you’ll witness are humpback whales and southern right whales, though if you’re lucky you may also spy killer whales (orcas) or false killer whales.
